New year, new colleague! Pieter Embo started as Business Developer for Bluebridge on January, 4th.
“I was based in Ostend for a long time during my time at the former Jetair, now TUI. So I have a great affinity with the region, to which I return after spending almost seven years in the far-away Peru. In Lima I started the local office for Flanders Investment & Trade, and in that role I have acquired a solid knowledge of ecosystems and gained very relevant experience with regard to attracting investments to Flanders, organising large and small events and conducting international business."
“I also understand the great added value of cross-fertilisation between scientific research and entrepreneurship and the added value this brings to our economy. I was able to get a taste of the maritime and marine world through contacts with our dredgers, ports and Ghent researchers who are active in marine biology in Ecuador. An exciting and future-oriented sector! I will join the team as a business developer to put both Ostend Science Park and Bluebridge on the map and to give the blue community in Ostend a boost. I look forward to meeting you!”
