Mr. Vermassen: "As a new face that occasionally pops up in the Bluebridge building, let me introduce myself for a moment. My name is Erwin Vermassen professionally active since a while, of which twenty years as an independent IT and I (O) T consultant and manager of Nimera BV."
“I am mainly involved in projects related to Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Satellite Data Communication projects. Since 2004 I have been active several times as project leader of European Framework programs and research programs of the European Space Agency (ESA).
Today I am working on the development of a proposal in the context of the European 5G-Loginnov H2020 project. The aim of this proposal is to realize a logistics supply / demand system that should make the transport of goods from and to seaports more efficient, cheaper and, above all, greener. Bluebridge seemed the most suitable basis for developing this project. The proposal in the context of the 5G-Loginnov project is a first step towards the realization of a start-up that will eventually further develop and commercialize the ATHAIS (Automated Truck Hail System) platform. I am convinced that the Bluebridge expertise will be of great use for this. In particular, I look out for possible regional and / or interregional projects in which the system can be further rolled out in a number of our Flemish, Dutch and perhaps also neighboring French ports.
Based on my specific expertise and network, it will also be a pleasure for me to provide potentially interesting Horizon Europe calls and possibly assist in the development of project proposals.”
